Baulkham Hills Cricket Club

Brian Bowyer
(Awarded Life Membership 1979)

Brian first played with the Club in 1957/58 when he was a member of the C Grade team which was captained by his father, Keith. Brian won the fielding trophy. Brian played for many years with the Club and was a handy left handed opening batsman.

Brian was active with involvement on several committees during the 60's and held the following positions:

- Publicity Officer
- Management Committee member
- Social Committee member
- Delegate to SA Y AS
- Secretary
- On first Board of Sporting Club.

Brian was a hard worker and was active on the 'labouring' work in development of grounds at Ted Horwood Reserve.

The proposal to form a Sporting Club and build a clubhouse again saw Brian at the forefront in contributing to the "hard slog". Countless hours were put in by committees of which Brian was a member. Brian became Secretary/Manager of the licensed club in September 1975 and later made a Life Member.

Brian passed away, aged 80, in May 2019.
